Family Cost Share
The Family Cost Share system increases funding for Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services by asking families, who can afford to do so, to share in the cost of these services. The amount a family pays for ECI services is determined using a sliding fee scale and is based on family size and income after allowable deductions, or the actual cost of services, whichever is less. No child is denied services because of a family’s inability to pay.
Funding Opportunities
The Division for Early Childhood Intervention Services (ECI) contracts with agencies in communities throughout Texas who act as local providers of comprehensive early childhood intervention services. At this time, no funding opportunities are available directly through ECI State Office.
The ECI State Office uses a Request for Proposals (RFP) process to select new comprehensive ECI service providers when need is identified. If you would like to receive notification of future RFPs, please contact Kevin Warren at (512) 424-4523 or at e-mail kevin.warren@dars.state.tx.us with the following information: agency name, contact person's name and e-mail address, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and counties in which you are interested in providing comprehensive ECI services.
