Welcome Cassie Fisher, DARS’ Stakeholder Relations Liaison

DARS is pleased to introduce to you a new addition to the DARS’ Stakeholder Relations Team, Cassie Fisher.  Ms. Fisher was selected for the position of Stakeholder Relations Liaison effective September 4, 2012.  The position was formerly held by Elizabeth Gregowicz, who retired in August 2012.

Ms. Fisher has over 7 years experience in state government. Before joining DARS she was a public policy specialist for the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities working on various issues impacting persons with developmental disabilities focusing on employment, early childhood intervention, transportation, and education policy. Ms. Fisher also worked for the Department of Family and Protective Services as a Child Protective Services Investigator and for two state officials in the Texas Legislature. Ms. Fisher earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ms. Fisher has worked with various DARS stakeholders in her prior roles. She looks forward to building and cultivating new relationships with DARS stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction. Ms. Fisher will be working directly with Karissa Garcia, DARS Stakeholder Relations Manager within the Center for Policy and External Relations.
